Next project: The Truscale Darth Vader Meditation Chamber from Empire Strikes Back!

UPCOMING PROJECT: STAR WARS DARTH VADER MEDITATION CHAMBER FOR HOT TOYS MMS 452 DARTH VADER

These past months we’ve been working on a TruScale Diorama 1/6 version of the Darth Vader Meditation Chamber as seen in Star Wars Episode V, the Empire Strikes Back. What’s cool about it, is that Hot Toys have now teased their MMS452 Star Wars Empire Strikes Back Vader so our project could not have been timed better. It will even allow for the helmet to come off. We will of course be working on the metal ‘claws’ that lower the dome on his helmet!

It will come fully painted in gloss black outside and white inside with a chair and we’re even trying to include some lights in the bottom shell. This is so exciting! We managed to engineer an optional telescoping tube for the 1/6 Truscale Darth Vader Meditation Chamber diorama so you can display it any way you want. Here is a projection of the diorama inside an IKEA STUVA and a 1/6 vader for scale. Please let me know what you guys think?!

Measurements for the Star Wars Diorama in a typical IKEA Stuva and Besta Cabinet

Here are the measurements for the truscale and on the right the first drawings for the undeep Besta option. The best option I think, by keeping it true 1/6 scale

EVERYONE INTERESTED, PLEASE RESPOND BELOW IN THE COMMENTS ON WHETHER YOU WOULD CHOOSE THE 43 CM DEEP VERSION ON THE LEFT OR THE BESTA VERSION ON THE RIGHT? I NEED TO GET A FEEL FOR GENERAL PREFERENCE

Timeline

We hope to be able to show the first real prototype of this Meditation Chamber Truscale Diorama in April of 2018. Then we would start production in May and hope for first delivery in August of 2018. The first preorders are already in and delivery is on a first come, first serve basis.

    Hi –

I’m very interested in Vader’s ESB Chamber, but I have a few questions…

    1) Your plans show two different widths (443 mm or 370 mm), but there seems to be just one option for purchasing. Have you decided to only offer the Truescale version?

    2) I would be displaying the chamber in a clear, custom acrylic display case. Does that telescoping arm (which holds the top half of the chamber) have to be attached to a shelf above it to work, or is the top of the chamber still connected to the bottom part even when open?

    3) How does the mechanism that raises and lowers the top of the chamber work?

    4) Is the final exterior going to be a black glossy finish? Is the photo showing it now in black matte the actual paint job or just for the prototype?

    5) Does the price include shipping (to NYC)?

    Thanks!
